I love the way the children slide into morning. stumbling sleepily downstairs in search of me for a morning cuddle. And here I am, found tapping away at the keyboard and trying to download the mountain of December photos, a record of the madness of it all!
As I type, number four is perched on my knee.Bed hair, sleepy eyes and not a sound uttered as yet. Working his way into wakefulness. Very sweet.
And to the nuts and bolts of this post. Cake madness that was last month.
A special cake for a wonderful teacher.
For my special little four year old - if it has wheels and a trailer, anything goes!
And finally, a rather lovely Christmas tradition that we created. Christmas Eve, the children lined up at the kitchen bench, carols playing, modelling sugar presents for the Christmas cake.
No wonder I had no time to actually organise anything for Christmas! We got there in the end...pudding made on Xmas Eve, shopping done the day before.
And now we relax. Partying over, time for summer holidays to start.
I can feel a baking day coming on!
